Mission

Tusubira – We have hope is a 501c3 non-profit organization that works to build relationships, remove barriers caused by poverty and injustice, and create opportunities for vulnerable communities in Uganda. Everything we do is a reflection of this mission and the values that drive it.

Vision

For the communities we partner with to support and invest in each other in response to being transformed by an unconditional love.

We believe that compassion is a choice, and that we have been given a tremendous opportunity to walk alongside a community that continually faces the devastations of AIDS, poverty, civil war, and government corruption.

We seek to create relationships with our brothers and sisters in Uganda, a better understanding of the challenges they endure, and inspire compassionate hearts as we work to equip those in the Seattle community and beyond who feel compelled to join us in taking action against injustices that orphans, widows, and other vulnerable children of Uganda face daily.

We seek to be continually in search of a deeper understanding of our small role in the larger field that is international development. Tusubira recognizes that there are no easy answers on this journey, and that we must move forward humbly, patiently, and responsibly, as we experience growths and setbacks as an organization.
