When you purchase a piece of jewelry from the Widows Jewelry Project, your purchase supports fair trade business, and Tusubira scholarships for orphans and vulnerable children in Ugandan communities devastated by poverty and AIDS. Providing access to the world market-place enables our participating widows’ co-op members to provide for their families. Income also becomes farm animals, gardening plots, sewing machines, and other income generating assets. Ultimately, women are economically empowered by the resilient effort of their own hands.
